Hey erverybody, |
Re: DOORS: Import excel to doors. and download the Import from Excel dxl file. It will allow you to import rich-text from Excel. You are also going to need to download Excel Functions from http://www.baselinesinc.com/?page_id=11&filerepoaction=showpost&filepost_id=10 You need to locate the Excel Functions.inc file according the #include path (line 56) of the Import from Excel.dxl file. You also need to read how to add DXL addins. In any DOORS menu bar do Help -> DXL Reference Manual and Search for The DXL Library and Addins Menu. Read the Selected topic that has the same title. It will tell you how to install the files so you can run them from the menu bar of a module. I would experiment with this stuff using small Excel files first. This may be a lot of information for a beginner to understand. Good Luck |

Hi @rmoskwa 9a3869a2-1336-40c2-88d7-1debbab3da2e, @BrianAguilar a66dc027-3af1-4b33-9ef5-a60bdc2b9fe3, Line 56 of Import From Excel.dxl needs ExcelFunctions.inc to be located in the same folder where Import From Excel.dxl is located. I am not sure if you need to replace the / with \ in the path name. I also do not run programs from my Downloads folder. You may have a problem with Line 9 of ExcelFunctions.inc, which is the path to ole.inc ole.inc is a function included with your original DOORs installation. I am using DOORs v9.202 My original ole.inc function is located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\lib\dxl\utils folder. I created a \user\defibtools folder on my network and placed a copy of ole.inc in the same folder where I located Import From Excel.dxl and ExcelFunctions.inc. My ExcelFunctions.inc functions Line 9 is #include <\user\defibtools\ole.inc>
